‘Kill all’: University of Delaware student arrested with machine gun, manifesto and plans to attack the school’s campus

WHYY said:
A University of Delaware student has been charged with felony possession of a machine gun and had plans to attack the campus, police said.
Wilmington resident Luqmaan Khan, 25, was arrested the night of Nov. 24 by New Castle County Police after his vehicle was found in the back of Canby Park West after the park had closed.

According to court documents, Khan appeared “visibly nervous” during the traffic stop, avoiding eye contact and not complying with officers’ commands. He was initially detained for resisting arrest. A search of his 2007 Toyota Tacoma truck revealed a black backpack with a handgun that had been converted into a submachine-type gun capable of firing approximately 1,200 rounds per minute. Additional weapons were found at the defendant’s home.
The vehicle also contained several extended gun magazines, body armor and a notebook with handwritten notes and drawings. The criminal complaint filed by the FBI said the notebook targeted a member of the UD Police Department and included the phrase “battle efficiency: kill all – martyrdom.” Martyrdom is discussed repeatedly in his writings, the complaint states. Also in the notebook was a drawing that appeared to be the layout of a campus building, along with notes about entry and exit points and the times of day.
The article buried the lede though:
Khan, who was born in Pakistan, is a U.S. citizen. He faces two federal charges: possession of a machine gun and possession of an unregistered firearm, as well as several state charges. Khan remains in FBI custody. He is being represented by a public defender, and his next court hearing is scheduled for Dec. 11.
And apparently, if this id is legit, he is an Afghan even if he was born in Pakistan.

What's with Afghans and being disproportionally involved in stuff like this? Omar Mateen (Pulse Night Club) - Afghan. Ahmad Khan Rahimi (NY/NJ pressure cooker bombings) - Afghan. Rahmanullah Lakanwal (National Guard shooting) - Afghan.

Disproportionate requires a proportion which requires a numerator and denominator. What exactly is your denominator?

The only thing that can stop a bad guy with a machine gun is a good guy with a machine gun. This is why we need to legalize machine guns.

I am suprised that a uni student would have the time to organise such a thing. Obviously he does not have enough school work to do.

What subjects do they teach over there?

So that guy was born in Pakistan, lived there a few years, then moved to Afghanistan then became a US citizen. Born in A, moved to B, gained citizenship in C. Therefore, you say B.

Let's see if you're consistent. Ilhan Omar was born in Somalia, lived in Kenya, then moved to the US and became a citizen. If consistent, you would call her B, i.e. Kenyan.

...
His fellow Somali socialisit, Ilhan Omar, condemned the move to withdraw endorsement:

The Afghan population of the US, of course. Relative to how many of them there are here, they are frequently involved in (attempted) terrorist attacks.

You got it backwards. The card identifies his residence (before he moved to the US) as Pakistan, but his national origin as Afghan.

Again, backasswards. It's more like that Iraqi from a few years ago who was deported to Iraq even though he was born in Greece, since he did not have Greek citizenship.

See, many countries do not assign citizenship by birth. And I do not think any are as absolutist about it as the US, that even gives citizenship to children of tourists and illegals, but I digress. Anyway, just because Khan may have been born in Pakistan does not mean he had Pakistani citizenship.
Likewise, even if Ilhan Omar had been born in Kenya, she'd be Somali by ethnicity and likely also by citizenship.

Frequently is a relative term, usually meaning often.

From my research, there are about 200,000 in the USA. So you have 3 out of 200,000. In order for that to be disproportionate, one needs the ratios for other groups. Do you have any ?
